BANYAN GUESTHOUSE

Banyan Guesthouse is a spacious (400 sq. ft) studio cottage in a private, serene, garden setting a block and a half from world famous Kailua Beach on O‘ahu’s windward side. The former artists’ studio is newly renovated, beautifully furnished and finished in natural woods. It has a private entrance, roofed patio garden, and enclosed outdoor, hot and cold shower.

The studio bedroom, with sliding French doors to the private garden, has a premium quality queen size bed and futon couch which opens into a double bed. There is a fully appointed bathroom with stall shower, and a very complete kitchenette. Guests are provided with a starter kitchen stocking, including Kona coffee and assorted teas, fruit basket, and staples. Several convenience markets and eateries are 1 block away and a 10-minute walk takes you to Kailua town center with its supermarkets, restaurants, and variety of shops.

The guesthouse has its own telephone (unlimited local and calling card calls only), access to our wireless hub for internet use, cable TV, CD player, and a small library of Hawaiian music CDs and books about Hawaii’s beauty and culture. The studio is a comfortable, live-in gallery of the contemporary arts in Hawaii. The walls display a colorful array of original serigraph prints and photographs by the artist-hosts and their friends. Fine handcrafts are both decorative and utilitarian accessories for guests’ use.
