The home is simply yet beautifully furnished with accents from Asia and Latin America. The colorful interior is bright, light, and playful.
The spacious yard is walled for privacy and decorated with tropical Hawaiian plants. Enjoy relaxing in the shade on one of the two comfortably furnished lanais. Barbeque in the back yard or make your meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and eat at the outdoor table under the refreshing Hawaiian sky.

There are 3 bedrooms, plus a den for additional sleeping quarters. The master bedroom has a king bed, a private bath and french doors to the back lanai. The second bedroom has a queen bed, the third bedroom has two twins (a trundle). There are also 2 single fold-out futon mattresses. Each room is equipped with a ceiling fan.

One mile to the beach, you can bike, walk, or drive. Use one of the property's beach cruisers (bikes) to explore Kailua Town, or use a boogie board to enjoy the surf. There are beach umbrellas, two beach chairs, and snorkel gear on-site for your use. Relax while reading outside on the front lanai, watch a DVD, or listen to music. Cut a bouquet of fresh red ginger from the garden and gather with your family at the butcher block island in the kitchen.

There is an on-site caretaker who resides in an attached unit. An independent ginger cat resides on the property.

Our stay in this property was just perfect for our family of 3 couples. The house was sufficiently near the beach to allow early morning swims each day for the energetic. The house was well appointed and cleaned to a high standard. It had numerous areas for relaxing and we loved using the 2 lanais to read, have an afternoon drink and also to eat our breakfast. If it was windy on one lanai, the other suited us perfectly. The walled gardens with tropical plantings were especially private and secure. Comfortable beds with ceiling fans helped us sleep especially well.

The well appointed spacious kitchen quickly became the centre of activity when cooking was happening. Those not actively doing the cooking joined in by sitting around the kitchen table – no cooks were excluded while they worked!! Appliances including the outdoor barbecue were very up-to-date, clean and easy to use.


As I have significant mobility issues I must make special mention of the owner's help in making sure the property was suitable. She provided a stool in the bathroom for my safety and made our stay particularly easy for all concerned.

All this coupled with the friendliness of the local Hawaiians, the beautiful climate, great golf courses, eating out at Buzz’s, and the stunning Kailua beach ensured a terrific holiday in a special place far removed from Waikiki. Thank you!
