| The historic Lyman Missionary House is the centerpiece of My Island Bed & Breakfast Inn. It is located in Volcano Village on a seven-acre botanical estate that flowers faithfully all year round.
The three-story Connecticut wooden farmhouse was constructed as a summer home by the missionary family in 1886.

The house features a central meeting and dining room where guests may share the highlights of their Big Island adventures. An 1868 Franklin fireplace provides warmth on chilly days (yes, we have some.) Walls feature gallery quality original art. Phone, TV and VCR with a wide range of movies. Games and books are available for children.

| The seven-acre botanical garden at My Island is a show-stopper with flowers blooming every season of the year. An anthurium garden in a giant fern jungle, cymbidium orchid hill that blooms from late Oct. to mid-May, a driveway flanked by Sugi and lined with white hydranges and pink azalea, tropical rhododendrons from the mountains of Sumatra and Borneo, magnolia blossoms 14 inches in diameter, Cordylines from all around the Pacific, Chinese tea, flowering banana, New Guinea impatients in 10 different colors, bamboo 60-feet tall, 16 varities of camelia, 7 types of flowering ginger, wild strawberies, and yes, even apple trees.

Our Bed & Breakfast is a very quiet, peaceful and beautiful place to spend your time on the Island of Hawaii. Our grounds are a tropical paradise in itself with natural lava pathways throughout a vast array of floral beauty and tropical fruit trees.
Five minutes from the closest beaches, you can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, or the best snorkeling and diving on this island. You are almost guaranteed to see whales from December through April. Dolphins frolic throughout the year in the waters just below us. Turtles are a common sight while snorkeling or diving here.
Close by are spectacular golf courses, sport fishing, hiking, and many historical landmarks.
